The audience of the film is my senior class and staff members in ACS
Amman, Jordan. My audience will want to watch my film to know what really
occurred during this event and the reasons why.The subject of the documentary
is senior privileges and the senior lounge that was taken away from
us during senior year due to uncleanliness and irresponsibility. The conflict
in the story was when the senior lounge privileges were taken away from us,
that was the change in the story or turning point that affected students. I
will be showing the point of view of mostly my attitude towards this, and
several other seniors that have been affected by this incident. My hook is
showing the senior lounge before and after the problems occured and what each
person (staff and students) have to say about it because they will then be
curious about the problem and what actually happened. In the beginning of
the film, certain people will be up to speak about this incident and how it
affected them personally and what were the disadvantages and things they were prohibited
to do afterwards. In the middle of the film, I will show the senior lounge
once more before and after and speak of the reasons for why this happened and
how to prevent it from happening again. In the end, I will interview
people again and ask them if they thought it was fair to take away their senior
lounge from them and who they thought did those factors. after the end of
the film, the audience will know that it was not the teacher's fault or the
idea of Mr. Mancuso wanting to be unfair, instead, it would be the students and
the things they have done in order to gain such little experience of the
lounge. In the beginning of the documentary, it will be two minutes. In
the middle it will be five and in the end it will be 3 minutes. The
locations that I'm going to film is the hallway, the senior lounge, the
cafeteria, and the principle's office. At each of the events, I am going
to film the students and interview them with certain questions. In the senior
lounge, I will just film the area and how it looks like in case no one knows
what I'm talking about. The types of people that I'm going to interview
are the people that are related to the senior lounge incident such as; senior
students, and the staff members in ACS. Six open-ended questions for
people on my list would be; 1. What do you think happened during the senior
lounge prohibition incident?, 2. Do you think it was fair?, 3. Who do you think
is the fault of this incident?, 4. Why?, 5. How did this incident occur?, 6.
Who was related to this incident?

Super Bowl Commercials
1. 40. Kia "Hotbots" -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=emhtp2prOxQ
2. Audi: Prom - http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1514409-super-bowl-commercials-2013-grading-the-best-worst-ads/page/5
They are making this ad to sell their new model car for Audi and so the kids that are going to prom will have a nice car to take with them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=emhtp2prOxQ
Describe the ad (company, product, message, etc.)
The company is KIA and it is a car company. The message they are trying to portray to the viewers is that KIA is the best kind of car and that the audience should buy it and respect their products because it is better than any other car.
Describe the demographic characteristics you think the ad targets. Explain why do you think this.
The demographic characteristics I think the ad targets is people who have a permit (16 and up) and can afford buying a car. I think this because not all ages can drive and not everyone can afford a car like KIA. I think also they are targeting people who buy a car rather than KIA so they can become more encouraged to buy that type of car specifically. I think this because when the man "disrespected" the car, he represented an ordinary man that does not prefer KIA as his top choice.
Describe the psychographic characteristics you think the ad targets. Explain why you think this.
They are making this ad because they are trying to make a commercial for KIA that would make people want to buy from their products, but they are favoring the new car that is coming out in 2014. They want the new model to be sold as much as the other models.
What was the main appeal of the ad? (rational, emotive) Identify what concept was emphasized in the ad that accomplished this appeal (i.e., luxury, value, safety, loved ones, quality, etc.).
The main appeal of this ad was emotive because the concept of showing the audience that a certain car should be bought is convincing the audience that the product they would buy is arousing and worth it. The concept that was emphasized was value and quality of the car.
What was the length of the ad?
The length of the ad was 41 seconds.
Did the ad present a call to action by the consumer or merely try to present the brand? In other words was the ad trying to make you do something or was it just trying to let you know a brand was there?
The ad was trying to let me know that there's a brand there that is a new 2014 model.2. Audi: Prom - http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1514409-super-bowl-commercials-2013-grading-the-best-worst-ads/page/5
Describe the ad (company, product, message, etc.)
The company of this ad is Audi, and the product is a car. The message they are trying to show the audience is that if you buy an Audi car, you are more confident, brave, and more likely to get the girl of his dreams.
Describe the demographic characteristics you think the ad targets. Explain why do you think this.
The demographic characteristics I think the ad targets is
The demographic characteristics that the ad targets is any boy who is planning on going to prom because usually people that go to prom have limos and very expensive cars because they are usually taking girls with them. This is a time where they can take advantage of the teenage audience because they can probably get manipulated quite easily at this stage.

The main appeal of this ad was emotive because they highlighted luxury and loved ones in this commercial which would be emphasized from an emotive appeal because it does not have to be something rational usually if you want someone to be encouraged to buy something that he does not really need from a logical point of view.
What was the length of the ad?
The length of the ad was 1 minute and 3 seconds.
Did the ad present a call to action by the consumer or merely try to present the brand? In other words was the ad trying to make you do something or was it just trying to let you know a brand was there?
The ad was trying to make me do something because it convinced me to buy the car itself since they portrayed that if you buy the car, you become braver and more manlier. If I was a guy, I would feel manipulated and encouraged to get the car to be a man.
3. Taco Bell: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1514409-super-bowl-commercials-2013-grading-the-best-worst-ads/page/25
Describe the ad (company, product, message, etc.)
The company is Taco Bell and the product is food. The message they are trying to portray is that young kids should make as much experience as they can with their loved ones.
Describe the demographic characteristics you think the ad targets. Explain why do you think this.
The demographic characteristics I think the ad targets is young people because they are trying to send the message that they should make as much memories as they can and it's never too late to make new memories in which is proven through the old people in the commercial.
Describe the psychographic characteristics you think the ad targets. Explain why you think this.
The psychographic characteristics I think the ad targets is to promote eating at Taco Bell and to show the audience that it's the best place to eat at because it makes memories with your loved ones.
What was the main appeal of the ad? (rational, emotive) Identify what concept was emphasized in the ad that accomplished this appeal (i.e., luxury, value, safety, loved ones, quality, etc.).
The main appeal of the ad is emotive because they are encouraging more friendships with your friends and so there's no rational or logical concept in this commercial, but emotion. It's because they used value, and loved ones.

Oscar Time
1. Life of Pi - Cinematography: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZEZ35Fhvuc
I think this is the best cinematography skills for 2013 movies because they make the visuals so realistic to the point where you feel you are with the characters in the movie. There's also a diverse range of colors and the pixels are very clear and enjoyable to look at.
2. Twilight - Film Editing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2T7d8j6I5I
I really liked the editing of this film especially because there was truly a special bond between the music, sound effects, and the visuals. They really suited for each other and brought the right message of the movie from the first time I watched the trailer. The theme of the movie was also portrayed through the editing of the fiction characters such as Edward, the vampire, emphasizing his unusual eyes.
3. The Hangover 1 - Film Directing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhFVZsk3XEs
I really liked the film directing of this movie because the director was still able to portray the message/theme of the movie although it was full of comedy and irony. He was able to confuse the audience but was also able to go back to the main idea of the story and make the plot make sense.
4. Transformers 1 - Visual Effects: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAjgXlvVexI
I think this movie would win the best visual effects because although the movie is based mainly on fictional characters, the visuals look very realistically formed due to clear pixels and scary shots that would make the movie more scary and makes you feel like you're actually on the spot.
5. Les Miserables - Production Design: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkHHHUk8RCw
I liked the production design of this movie because they added the musical scenes to every scene which boosted up my interest in the movie. It caught my attention mainly through the blending of the visuals and the musicals.
6. Skyfall - Sound Mixing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kw1UVovByw
Skyfall had the best sound mixing in my opinion because they truly fitted with the movie's theme and purpose. Also, the song's compositions was really interesting and uniquely done personally for the movie. They customized the music for the movie itself and I really liked the idea of that.
7. Up - Sound Editing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkqzFUhGPJg
I liked the sound editing of Up because of its childish music/audio in which was suitable for all ages. It was very peaceful and playful. It really caught my ears' attentions.

About Me Questions (Unfinished)
- How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? If I didn't know how old I was, I would be 17 because I am not such a mature person and love to do the fun that a teenager would want to do.
- Which is worse, failing or never trying? Never trying is worse because you wouldn't know your capabilities, strengths and weaknesses, and lastly, you would be very weak. Also, you would not have the experience to acknowledge the amount of opportunities that you would've had.
- If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? We do so many things we don't like because sometimes we feel lonely and try to fit in with what everyone "likes" so we can have more friends. We also like so many things we don't do because we constantly think we have time, but we don't. We keep postponing things.
- When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done? It depends on the situation because if you're a strong person, you wouldn't let yourself in that position where your words are stronger than your actions. But if you're weak, you wouldn't notice how vulgar you are.
- What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world? One thing I'd like to change about the world is how much people underestimate Arab women. I want them to change their perspective of women and give us equal rights.
- If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? I would make people laugh and be loved.
- Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? I am doing what I believe in.
- If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? I would be as happy as I could possibly can everyday, but I wouldn't take life as seriously.
- To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken? To a great degree because even if no one agrees with the way I make my life, I still continue to do what I want because I think no one knows you better than you know yourself.
- Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? I am more worried about doing things right because if you don't do the right things right, then what's the point?
- You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do? I don't tell them that I am their friend, I would criticize them back and put them in the same area they criticized my friend, and if they defend themselves, I would tell them that everything my friend does is for a reason and everything you do is for a reason and everything we all do is for a reason, so don't judge unless you know what her ambitions are in life and what she is struggling with. And I would tell them that I wouldn't of knew their response of defending themselves with these good points until I asked them directly, so it would be the same situation with my friend that they are judging. They don't know what's her reason for all the things they don't like about him/her unless they ask her directly.
- Who is your favorite movie character? My favorite movie character is spiderman because he's really nice and sweet.
- Would you break the law to save a loved one? Yes I would because I wouldn't be able to live without them.
- Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity? Of course, we are all insane in our own way but it's so creative and unique that no one would understand at first.
- What’s something you know you do differently than most people? I'll do what I want to do no matter what people say.
- How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy? Because everyone has their own perspective of things due to different experiences in life, different people in their life, and their personality.
- What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? I want to take risks and overcome my fears.
- Are you holding onto something you need to let go of? Yes, I am holding onto fear and keep telling myself I have time to overcome it, but what I'm really doing is delaying the whole experience of taking risks that I might not like at first, but would benefit me in the end.
- If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? I would move to California because the area is always awake and it has a lot of things that interest me.
- Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? I don't believe it would make the elevator faster, but I am very impatient and I don't like waiting for anything if it's not right next to me.
- Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? I would rather be a worried genius because I'd rather have the truth in front of me rather than having the truth concealed (joyful simpleton).
- What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is The A-Team (2010) because I can relate to myself to bradley cooper's brave personality, it reminds me of my personality completely.
- Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? No I haven't because I am scared to get hurt and get less than I expect.
- Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you? When a good friend moves away because his/her memories and the feelings you get towards someone go with him/her whenever they leave and you can't get back that feeling that person used to give you when they were there.
- What are you most grateful for? I am most grateful for my optimistic attitude towards anything because when I am faced with events or experience and be more mature after I gain those experiences, I start reminiscing about those memories I had whether they were with my friends or family, I get a very nice feeling of joy in my mind because even if the event that I experienced with my friends was boring, I am somehow able to make those events as unforgettable and beautiful.
- Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones? I would rather lose all my old memories because I am now more knowledgeable and aware of the things around me, so I would know what makes me happy and thus I could make happier events.
- Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first? I don't think it's possible to know the truth unless you challenge it a bit because not everyone is willing to say the truth at ease.
- Has your greatest fear ever come true? Yes it has, but it's not a fear anymore, but more like a habit that I cannot get rid of because I am so used to it.
- Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now? Yes, it does matter because it mattered when it happened and that matters.
- What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special? My happiest childhood memory is when I went to my roof all alone at night and sat with my best friend while listening to very loud music. This event was very special because I had the two favorite things in my life come to me at the same time - music and perfect weather.
